Overall the villa was quite nice! I didn’t love the drive up there since it wasn’t entirely paved and we had a trailer with us, but it was doable and worth it for me. The rooms were a little warmer than my liking but everything was well decorated and nicely cleaned. The walls are a little thin, but there weren’t too many guests when we stayed so it wasn’t an issue for us. The windows in both the room and the lobby were huge and perfect for viewing the scenery. Breakfast was fine and was what was advertised to us. I liked the do it yourself set up. I enjoyed this place and would definitely come back if I had the chance. My only caveat is that I wished there was an actual staff person at the villa for check in and questions. Seemed kinda sketchy to just be sending my card info to a random email/number.

Read terrible reviews about the hotel and was a little scared honestly. While it was very dated and a little worn out, the room we stayed in was really clean. The bathroom was very clean, even the corners of the floor and in the tub. The staff who had this hall did a great job and I think her name was Sierra. It was quirky and colorful including the staff who some reminded me of Twin Peaks characters and I say that in a very good way. Shuttle from Railroad and to the airport is a great perk. They came quickly to retrieve us and the wait to go to airport was just minutes. Our shuttle driver Merk was a hoot. So funny and had great things to say about the place on our drive over. Didn’t have free buffet, just coffee, but that too was nice perk. Property had all sorts of little sightseeing spots and I loved the ‘Love Alaska’ sign across the river for pics. Although off a busy road it was quiet in back on the river. Got super duper lucky on our night there and asked for a northern lights wake up call. At 3 am Robert at the front desk gave us the call and told us where to go and it was spectacular. Never expected to see it there. Restaurant on site icky but to be fair we did arrive 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night, but the staff were really nice and attentive even at the end of a long and busy shift. All in all we were very happy.

It was 100% perfect. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was super clean without the medicinal smell of most industry cleaning supplies. The room was spacious and the bed super comfortable.
